ATYD-300 Portable Water Hardness Meter We call the total concentration of calcium ion (Ca2+) and magnesium ion (Mg2+) in water sample to be the hardness of water. This instrument adopts electrode method for testing, and its accuracy is the same as EDTA volumetric method as can avoid many shortcomings in EDTA volumetric method, such as complicated operation, uncertain judgment of terminal point and unsuitable use in turbid and colored water sample. Notable features for this instrument read as follows: Adopt model 601 water hardness combination electrode which consists of measuring electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode and temperature sensor. The PVC sensitive membrane of measuring electrode is made of active matter comes from new neutral carrier, which has equal selectivity for Ca2+ and Mg2+ ion in water sample.
